As part of this initiative, Seventeen donated $1 million to UNESCO’s Global Youth Grant Scheme, which selected 100 youth-led projects from over 2,300 applications across 140 countries. These projects will receive financial grants ranging from $5,000 to $7,500, along with training and mentoring to help them achieve their goals. The “Going Together” initiative is a significant step in empowering young people to create positive change in their communities and beyond.
Seventeen’s involvement with UNESCO began earlier, as they have been donating to charitable causes annually since their debut, including supporting education for underprivileged youth through UNESCO’s programs. Their role as UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Youth further emphasizes their commitment to supporting global youth initiatives.
