Before debuting, the Mamamoo members were all working hard to become singers 🌟. Solar, the leader, was originally training to be a flight attendant, but she was discovered by an RBW Entertainment representative when she sang for a free gift, which led her to become a trainee in 2011 🎁. She then attended Modern K Music Academy University to improve her vocal skills, and after three years of training, she was ready to debut with Mamamoo 🎓.
Moonbyul, on the other hand, had a lot of experience in music training before joining RBW Entertainment 🎤. She auditioned for several agencies and even led a group with Wheein before they both joined RBW, where Moonbyul switched from singing to rapping, thanks to Solar’s suggestion 💡. Moonbyul trained for three years, focusing on rap and dance, and eventually became the main rapper and dancer of Mamamoo 💃.
Wheein and Hwasa were close friends from middle school and moved to Seoul together to pursue their dreams of becoming singers 🚂. They trained at different agencies before joining RBW Entertainment in 2011, where they became the first two members of Mamamoo 📆. Wheein attended J Music Vocal Academy, while Hwasa recorded guide vocals for other artists, and both trained for three years before debuting with the group 🎶.
Before their official debut, the members of Mamamoo collaborated with other artists on several songs, which helped them gain experience and recognition in the music industry 🎵. These collaborations included songs like “Don’t Be Happy” and “Peppermint Chocolate,” which were released before their debut album “Hello” 🎧.
