Stray Kids is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment, a big music company in Korea. The group was created through a reality TV show called “Stray Kids” in 2017, where nine young men competed to become part of the band. The show was different from other music competitions because it focused on teamwork and collaboration rather than elimination.
The leader of Stray Kids, Bang Chan, played a key role in forming the group. He had been a trainee at JYP Entertainment for many years and had already worked with other famous groups like GOT7 and TWICE. Before the reality show, Bang Chan formed a hip-hop sub-unit called 3Racha with Changbin and Han, which later became part of Stray Kids.
During the reality show, all nine contestants, including Woojin, who later left the group, worked together to create music and perform. Although Lee Know and Felix were initially eliminated, they were brought back to join the final lineup. The group’s first music video, “Hellevator,” was released during the show and became very popular.
After the reality show, Stray Kids officially debuted on March 25, 2018, with their EP “I Am Not.” Since then, they have become one of the most successful K-pop groups, known for their energetic performances and self-produced music. The group’s members are very involved in writing and producing their songs, which makes their music unique and authentic.
Stray Kids has grown a lot since their debut and have released many successful albums and singles. They are loved by fans all around the world for their music and their strong bond as a team.
