NCT’s first EP is called “NCT #127,” and it was released on July 10, 2016. This EP was a commercial success, topping the Gaon Album Chart in its third week and reaching number two on the Billboard World Albums Chart. It included seven tracks, mainly in the hip-hop and EDM genres, with popular songs like “Fire Truck” and “Once Again.” The EP was well-received, selling over 83,000 copies in 2016, making it the 32nd best-selling album of that year.
The group NCT 127, which released this EP, is a sub-unit of the larger group NCT, known for its diverse musical styles and powerful performances. NCT 127’s debut marked the beginning of NCT’s expansion into various sub-units, each with its unique sound and style. Since then, NCT has grown to include several other sub-units, such as NCT Dream, WayV, and more recently, NCT DoJaeJung, which debuted in 2023 with the EP “Perfume.”
