When Suga performs outside of BTS, he often uses the stage name Agust D. This name is derived from “Suga” spelled backwards, combined with “DT,” which stands for “Daegu Town,” his birthplace.
Suga adopted this alias for his solo projects, such as his mixtapes and his debut solo album D-Day, allowing him to express a different side of his musical identity compared to his work with BTS.
In collaborations or when producing music for other artists, he may still be referred to as Suga, but Agust D is specifically used for his solo music endeavors.
